As the episodes play on with both the good
and the bad, one begins to compare them and see what is left to be cherished.
Love they thought it was when he asked her to be his. Smitten at how adorable,
the question was brought up made her agree to a proposal which she did not
realise will last a long time. Dates started off with movie nights and dinners which
progressed to drunken nights under covers. The loneliness she used to feel led
her to think that it was the right kind of love she deserved. When once upon a
time, she found solace in the Vodka she had stashed away.
It was loyal, and
kept her company throughout the sleepless nights, and dreadful weekends. The
replacement got her off all that vodka but still that loneliness lurked. Amidst
the hearts and butterflies and the bees and the birds, the sense of feeling naked
remained. The heart was preoccupied with impressing ‘her’ man, and mingling
with the family and friends. The romance, the effort to lend a listening ear,
show that genuine care and concern, forgetting who she was once upon a time. A
life lived in denial is it worth the years sweeping pass? Comparisons,
arguments, violence, tears, craziness, then came the moment. A single
phrase said with the last breadth of care “I shall not care or bother about
what you do anymore.” Life changed, priorities changed, happy with the
education, the friends that surrounded her, her parents by her side, it felt
right, it felt like it was all that she needed now and she wanted it to last.
But when was it time for her to tell him? The thought was stuck in her chest,
pulling her down with each breath, blocking the mind from focusing right. It
made her sick to the bones, nausea accompanied the uneasy feeling. Finally,
plucking that courage, it was initiated, that they should talk about them.
As Mary J. Blige sings,
So tired, tired of this drama
No more, no more
I wanna be free
I'm so tired, so tired
Broken heart again
Another lesson learn
Better know your friends
Or else you will get burned
Gotta count on me
Cause I can guarantee
That I'll be fine
No more, no more
I wanna be free
I'm so tired, so tired
Broken heart again
Another lesson learn
Better know your friends
Or else you will get burned
Gotta count on me
Cause I can guarantee
That I'll be fine
No more pain (no more pain)
No more pain (no more pain)
No drama (no more drama in my life)
No one's gonna make me hurt again
Why'd I play the fool
Go through ups and downs
Knowing all the time
You wouldn't be around
Or maybe I like the stress
Cause I was young and restless
But that was long ago
I don't wanna cry no more
No more pain (no more pain)
No drama (no more drama in my life)
No one's gonna make me hurt again
Why'd I play the fool
Go through ups and downs
Knowing all the time
You wouldn't be around
Or maybe I like the stress
Cause I was young and restless
But that was long ago
I don't wanna cry no more
No more pain (no more pain)
No more game (no more game messin with my mind)
No drama (no more drama in my life)
Nooone's gonna make me hurt again
No more tears (no more tears, I'm tired of cryin everynight)
No more fears (no more fears, I really don't wanna cry)
No drama (no more drama in my life)
I don't ever wanna hurt again
Wanna speak my mind, wanna speak my mind
Uh, it feel so good
When you let go
Of all the drama in your life
Now you're free from all the pain
Free from all the game
Free from all the stress
So find your happiness
I don't know
Only God knows where the story ends for me
But I know where the story begins
It's up to us to choose
Whether we win or lose
And I choose to win
No more game (no more game messin with my mind)
No drama (no more drama in my life)
Nooone's gonna make me hurt again
No more tears (no more tears, I'm tired of cryin everynight)
No more fears (no more fears, I really don't wanna cry)
No drama (no more drama in my life)
I don't ever wanna hurt again
Wanna speak my mind, wanna speak my mind
Uh, it feel so good
When you let go
Of all the drama in your life
Now you're free from all the pain
Free from all the game
Free from all the stress
So find your happiness
I don't know
Only God knows where the story ends for me
But I know where the story begins
It's up to us to choose
Whether we win or lose
And I choose to win
